This inaugural northern bloc conference explored the ideas, implications and uses of technology in a small nation context. In a series of presentations, workshops and discussions, the day explored the key themes of: Free Public Data, Free Networks, ‘Mash Ups’, Micro Energy Generation, Creative Small Nations, Sustainable Technology

This one-day conference will comprise: 2 themed sessions; 2 workshops; 14 speakers; 150 delegates; infinite information.
* How can technology be best used to benefit small nations?
* Does technology benefit existing small nations, communities & groups. Can it create new ones?
* How can we use energy resources sustainably on a small scale?
* How can we find and utilise relevant information? What is a Mash Up?
* What can we learn from the activities of small nations, communities & groups?
Presenters from across the UK and Europe will join creative practitioners and providers to contribute to the discussion.
