Job at Owl Project HQ::Social Media Animateur ⁄⁄

Opportunity to work a freelance contract, with 3 significant artists (Owl Project) to enhance their online creative profile, critical engagement and networks.

We are looking for expressions of interest from researchers, artists or curators interested in working with the Owl Project to develop our social media networks and links . Successful applicant will be expected to blog contextual research from the Owl Project website developing our self-curated context and will also be profiled on our website themselves.

You should have great communication skills and a strong understanding of art. The Owl Project interests are broad and explores themes such as DIY and open source electronic sonic technologies, woodworking, alternative musical interfaces and sculpture; so an interest in any of these areas would be useful.

Applicants should be at least a recent Art/Curatorial graduate or be studying an appropriate MA, and should have experience of curatorial processes and a track record of utilising social media to develop professional arts networks. Send a CV with a proposal or statement of interest, explaining what areas of research you might pursue in relation to Owl Project and how you would develop our social media links.

Fee is £1000 as external consultant and must cover any expenses/travel, we expect a half day bi-weekly engagement over a period of 20 weeks. Successful applicant will be offered a suitable perch at the studio in Manchester and be expected to use it several times over the project period.
