This could be very interesting for some BLOC associates.  There is a really cool video of the technology being used to synch a Flamenco dancer and her body movements to an AI music synth.

~ in the fields reinvent old media, modify ancient, odd machines and play with optical toys. They found the starting point for this exhibition on the Shetland Islands leading them to investigate the very elements and definition of Scottish landscape and seascape.

This body of work takes on the old media of observation, research and (dis)play. In two of their installations, the artists have chosen to make particular reference to the aquariums of Victorian oceanographic scientists and the 16th century bookwheel of Agostino Ramelli.

A third work is a networked device inspired by the 19th century myriorama card game. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to create seamless panoramas depicting idealized Scottish landscapes which can then be viewed through a telescope located in St. Andrews Square.

The telescope element was co-commissioned by New Media Scotland and Edinburgh Art Festival, supported by The National Lottery through Creative Scotland. ~ in the fields produced this exhibition during an Alt-w Design Informatics residency at Inspace, awarded by New Media Scotland and The University of Edinburgh.

Microsoft’s .NET Framework presents developers with unprecedented opportunities. From web applications to desktop and mobile platform applications – all can be built with equal ease, using substantially the same skill-set. But to make the most of this potential, developers must have a thorough grasp of core language skills and OO programming concepts.

This course is intended for developers who will use C# to write .NET Framework applications and who are new to the C# programming language. This includes those currently working with Visual Basic 6.0, C or Java.

This four-day workshop concentrates on the C# programming language itself, to prepare delegates fully in readiness for exploring the .NET Framework. From basic procedural syntax to sophisticated object-oriented programming techniques, delegates will learn how to write .NET applications with code that is robust and maintainable.

The course is presented as a mixture of lectures and hands-on exercises. Practical sessions follow all main topics, designed to reinforce the points covered. Additional information is provided in appendices to extend the learning experience after the course has been completed.
